Council Wooten, Jr. and Orman L. Kimbrough, Jr. have both been named by Florida Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Florida for 2008. Both of them are personal injury attorneys in Orlando. This is the second consecutive year Mr. Kimbrough has been recognized as Super Lawyer, and the third year consecutive year for Mr. Wooten. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.
The selections for Super Lawyers are made by Law & Politics, a division of Key Professional Media, Inc., of Minneapolis, MN. Each year they undertake a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by Law & Politics’ attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
Bruce A. Gibson III, Patricia Doherty and Ed Normand were all recognized for their Star Search Credentials by the research staff at Super Lawyers. The attorney-led research staff searches for lawyers who have attained certain honors, results or credentials, which indicate a high degree of peer recognition or professional competence. Most of the lawyers identified in the Star Search process have also been nominated by their peers. Occasionally, however, the staff will find outstanding lawyers who have been overlooked in the nomination process.
